Green Shift: A Modern Day Tale of Crime, Larping, Weed, and Love
Green Shift is a fast-paced, commercial fiction, rom-com thriller with a fresh perspective on crime and relationships around the marijuana industry.
Did you like the movie Raising Arizona? This book is like that movie. It’s a fast-paced romp that’s part romantic comedy, part crime fiction, and all thriller, with lots of dysfunctional relationships and twisted humor.
Heather has just had a son, the product of a drunken night with Cody. They’d been close friends for years, but when she got pregnant, Cody ended his 10-year dysfunctional relationship with Danielle to be with her. Cody’s life is complicated. He works for one of the biggest marijuana dealers in the Pacific Northwest, and a European drug cartel is moving in and wants to take them out. On top of that, Portland Police Detective Wang has a personal vendetta against Cody. Heather has to fight to keep her family together and away from Danielle, while Cody and his friends try to keep the cartel out of the Pacific Northwest while not getting arrested.
Set in the parks, game shops, renaissance fairs, and salvage yards of North and Southeast Portland, Oregon, this fast-paced book has lots of action, humor, semi-dysfunctional romance, and a nerdy cast of characters that puts the weird in the phrase ‘Keep Portland Weird.’
